The Goddess Brigid is widely known as the Irish Goddess of Healing, Childbirth, Smithing, Fertility, Inspiration, and even War. She is said to be the daughter of the Dagda in the Tuatha De Danann and has even been brought into the monotheistic faiths as Saint Brigid. She is an amazing Guide who helps us tap into our own Healing and Creative abilities! She is commonly celebrated at Imbolc. Usually around the 1st and 2nd of February to celebrate the light is returning to the lands and we have made it through the harshest parts of winter.

Brigid in the Four of Cups
The Four of Cups shows Brigid standing over a well with four water sprites, holding the eternal flame in on hand and a goblet of healing water in the other. Her sacred Oak Tree is right behind her, showing she is a Goddess associated with Earth, Water, Fire. This card focuses on these aspects of Brigid as it tells the reader that sometimes healing comes with a bit of pain. Like the need to cauterize a wound so it will heal properly. Or less intense, the need to rip a band aid off a wound so it can get air and seal up.
Brigid in the Star Card
The Star Card shows Brigid on the bank of a lake with her Cauldron lit by the fire. She is taking hot liquid from the Cauldron and pouring it into the lake as she has one leg on the earth and one leg in the water. Her Crown is alight with 7 Stars. There is an Ewe behind her. The scene looks cold, but she is warming up the waters and thereby the Earth. Bringing Hope, Healing, Rest, Comfort and more to the people.
My Own Experiences:
I feel Brigid’s energy as a very gentle and comforting feeling. She has helped me face my own inner darkness when I needed aid in healing many wounded parts of my own Divine Feminine aspects. She is very patient as I would try to identify her and then work with her in going into my wounds to bring up the stagnant energies that needed to be released and allowed to heal. Simply put, I had many different wounds I endured during my time in service to the Army, when I gave birth to both my daughters, as a new Mother and as a creative being. She has helped me in each of these areas! We worked together with divination like tarot and oracle cards, visualization, journaling, dream working, and astral projection. She helped with Energy Healing that felt cool and warm depending on what was needed at the time.
Brigid has been instrumental in helping me find my inner balance during times of stress. She is often seen with scales holding the Sun and the Moon in many artworks I researched. She helps us find the balance between the conscious/physical and the subconscious/intuitive sides of ourselves. She is often with me as I work with clients so we may help them heal as well. She is a Comforting Sacred Guide who wants to help us in so many ways.
